Job summary

Trinity Health MI is seeking a Lab Assistant for part-time evening shifts (1:15 PM – 9:45 PM) with every other weekend and holidays. The role includes clerical, registration, cashier duties and laboratory phlebotomy in a patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities include obtaining patient information, explaining policies, processing orders, distributing reports, maintaining logs, inventory and billing reconciliation.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required; associates preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Department operation provides 24/7 coverage, may require varied shifts.
• Must be reachable at home by telephone.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical, registration, cashier functions and laboratory phlebotomy procedures.
• Maintains logs and records; maintains inventory and orders supplies.
• Reconciles billing on AS400 and error batch; handles Warde send outs and follow-up.
