Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Michigan seeks a full-time Phlebotomist for the Outpatient Lab. You will perform venipuncture, specimen receipt and processing, and ensure accurate patient data entry in the hospital system across multiple Clinical Lab locations.

Schedule is 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday with a 1-hour lunch, plus one rotating Saturday every three weeks. A high school diploma and phlebotomy training are required; prior phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of phlebotomy, medical assistant or patient care technician training.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred if formal training and certification as a phlebotomist is not obtained.
• Open availability for full-time schedule including rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy, specimen receipt, processing and distribution.
• Ensures accurate patient samples, demographics and diagnosis codes.
• Registers outpatients in the hospital EMR (EPIC) and determines payment obligations.
