We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist for an Out-Patient hospital role, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. Opportunities for growth within the organization are available.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, plus 1 weekend per month

Work Location: Boston MA - Tufts Medical Center

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate patient testing needs with medical providers in a fast-paced environment.
2. Navigate hospital settings to attend to client needs across various suites.
3. Decipher, collect, and process complex test orders pertinent to hospital outreach.
4. Perform blood collections via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
5. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
6. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
7. Address customer service issues promptly and respectfully.
8. Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory, and logs.
9. Promote teamwork and effective communication among coworkers.
10. Accurately enter patient information and process payments as needed.
11. Report performance, compliance, or staffing issues to supervisors.
12. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of venipuncture experience as a phlebotomist.
3. Preferred: AAMA or CMA accreditation, ICD-9 coding familiarity, leadership experience, phlebotomy certification, pediatric and neonatal draws experience.
4. Strong knowledge of phlebotomy duties and techniques.
5. Excellent customer service skills.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team.
8. Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
