Job summary

Vernon Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will work with pharmacists and technicians to ensure safe and effective patient care, including inventory management, sterile compounding, and vaccine handling in a hospital and clinic setting.

The schedule features four 10-hour shifts, hours from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. Training is provided; prior hospital pharmacy experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license application required by date of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and dependability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage medication inventory in Omnicell cabinets.
• Support vaccine inventories and Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
• Package and unit-dose medications.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications.
• Assist with monoclonal antibody and chemotherapy infusions.
• Clean, stock, and audit Omnicell storage systems.
• Monitor medication storage temperatures.
• Support 340B program compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory controls.
• Assist pharmacists in delivering safe and effective patient care.
