Job summary

Vernon Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team in Viroqua, WI. You will support pharmacists and technicians in providing high-quality patient care across hospital and clinic settings.

The role involves inventory management in Omnicell, vaccine handling, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and assisting with chemotherapy infusions. A Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician License is required by hire, and on-site work with rotating weekends is expected.

Vernon Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients throughout our hospital and clinics.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Hours between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
• Rotating weekends and holidays
  

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will perform a wide variety of responsibilities, including:

• Managing medication inventory in Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets
• Managing vaccine inventories and supporting compliance with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program
• Packaging and unit-dosing medications
• Preparing sterile and non-sterile compounded medications
• Assisting with the preparation of monoclonal antibody and chemotherapy infusions
• Cleaning, stocking, and auditing Omnicell medication storage systems
• Monitoring medication storage temperatures
• Supporting 340B program compliance activities
• Maintaining accurate records and inventory controls
• Assisting pharmacists in delivering safe and effective patient care

Qualifications:

License Requirement:

No prior hospital pharmacy experience required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
