Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the hospital pharmacy team. Under supervision of a Maryland-licensed pharmacist, you will assist in preparation, packaging and delivery of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy experience in hospital or retail setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs drug distribution, medication preparation, compounding, dose calculation and QA tasks per procedures.
• Delivers medications to appropriate locations and monitors storage conditions for compliance.
• Follows USP797/800 guidelines for sterile compounding and cleanroom maintenance.
• Supports inventory management and generates reports from hospital information systems.
• Participates in training of new staff and identifies opportunities for process improvement.
• Responds to med messages and liaises with patients and healthcare team in a professional manner.

Education
