Job summary

Luminis Health in Annapolis, MD seeks a Clinical Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe, effective, and economical drug use. Responsibilities include dispensing duties, verification of orders, and collaboration with prescribers in patient care rounds.

The role requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy, with at least 1 year inpatient experience. PGY-1 residency or Board Certification preferred; Maryland state license is required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with commensurate experience.
• At least 1 year of inpatient experience.
• PGY-1 residency or Board Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rotating staffing schedule including days/evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Verify accuracy of orders and determine appropriate ingredients, dose and administration.
• Consult with prescribers to clarify orders or recommend alternatives.
• Provide drug information to patients and staff as appropriate.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate dispensing of medications.
• Participate in patient care rounds and medication safety initiatives.
• Support department policies and procedure improvements and maintain records.
