Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Active Pharmacy Technician Registration - Commonwealth of Massachusetts (required).
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
• Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certifications or completion of an advanced competency certificate program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering medications across the hospital in accordance with established pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Managing and refilling Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) located throughout the facility.
• Picking, delivering, and restocking Schedule II-VI controlled substances while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
• Preparing and repackaging unit-dose medications for inpatient care.
• Assisting with sterile and non-sterile compounding following USP guidelines and pharmacy protocols.
• Providing responsive customer service to nurses, physicians, inpatients, and outpatients.
• Escalating medication-related questions or concerns to the Clinical Pharmacist on duty.
• Managing pharmacy inventory transfers and ensuring accurate movement of medications between the pharmacy and designated inventory locations.
