Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication preparation, dispensing, and delivery under pharmacist supervision. The role emphasizes accurate unit-dose packaging, IV room processes, and adherence to hospital policies.

Responsibilities include triaging requests, delivering medications, inventory management, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation. A High School diploma and MA license are required; hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification preferred.
• Minimum one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and triage requests to the pharmacist staff.
• Triages window requests from customers.
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and manage physician orders and returns.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storing medications.
• Accurately package unit dose medications with proper labeling.
