Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Central Massachusetts is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution and IV room operations. Under pharmacist supervision, you will prepare, dispense and deliver medications, handle Pyxis tasks, and assist with inventory and quality controls.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork and patient safety, with potential signing bonus and prorated pay for non-full-time schedules. MA license and hospital pharmacy experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• License/Certification/Education: HS diploma; MA Pharmacy Technician license; MA certifying body certification.
• Experience with hospital pharmacy and automated dispensing is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparation, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
• Support Pyxis distribution system operations and daily inventory tasks.
• Package unit dose medications with accurate labeling per policy.
• Reconcile and resolve distribution issues to ensure timely patient care.
• Provide excellent customer service to nursing and pharmacy staff.
