Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree desirable.
• 6-months Pharmacy technician experience or healthcare experience required; hospital experience preferred.
• Current registration/licensure as Pharmacy Technician or eligible; PTCB certification required within 12 months.
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations and working with computer/tech equipment.
• Ability to work on-call shifts and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, prepare, label, and deliver medications to patient care units.
• Maintain inventory levels, rotate stock, and remove expired meds per guidelines.
• Receive medications from wholesalers and replenish pharmacy stock.
• Use barcode scanning and automation tech to ensure proper distribution.
• Document medication movements and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Support pharmacist in pharmaceutical care and code cart readiness.
