Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution and inventory management within a hospital setting. You will work with pharmacists, nurses, and staff to ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and timely delivery of unit-dose medications.

The role requires solid math skills, proficiency with EMR/ADS systems, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy tech training preferred.
• 6 months pharmacy tech or healthcare experience required; hospital exp preferred.
• Current registration/licensure as Pharmacy Technician or eligible to register; PT CB certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and inventory medications accurately; prepare and label unit dose meds.
• Support tech activities with automation/technology and document appropriately.
• Communicate with nursing, providers, and staff; adhere to HIPAA in all communications.
