Job summary

Yale New Haven Health Services Corp. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication distribution, inventory management, and compounding in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include restocking, medication reconciliation, and maintaining policy-compliant records. Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, CT registration with PTCB or equivalent certification within 1 year, and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree desirable.
• Registration with the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection is required by completion of probationary period and active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent certification is required on or within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports and reviews medication systems and automated dispensing equipment to ensure timely restocking.
• Ensure proper medication movement and manage stock rotation based on expiration/usage patterns.
• Remove expired or about-to-expire medications from inventory in accordance with guidelines.
• Receive medications from wholesalers and replenish pharmacy stock accurately.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding products following current standards and procedures.
• Complete cleanroom documentation per departmental guidelines.
