Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a third-shift position at Atrium Health Pineville Pharmacy. The role supports pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Expect 40 hours per week with a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule on a 7 on/7 off rotation, including weekends and holidays after training. Requires a high school diploma, state licensure, and CPhT/ExCPT certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State board registration/licensure required for the state of employment.
• CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months from start date.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Select, prepare, and label medications for patients, including hazardous drugs.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks and inventory control.
• Screen calls and route them with proper etiquette.
• Support daily pharmacy procurement and documentation requirements.
• Participate in training of pharmacy technicians as needed.
• Comply with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
