Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support safe pharmaceutical care by assisting in preparation, distribution, and inventory management in a hospital setting.

You will work under a licensed pharmacist, maintain records, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is coordinated. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a schedule including evenings and every 3rd weekend and some holidays; benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching,

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• PHAR-C certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular inventory audits.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.
• Maintain records of medication orders and inventory transactions in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety compliance activities.
• Ensure pharmacy equipment functions properly and assist in troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to coordinate patient care.
• Stay current with pharmacy practices and pursue ongoing training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
