Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical services, including medication distribution, sterile and non-sterile compounding, and inventory management. You will work within a hospital environment, ensuring accuracy and safety in medication preparation and dispensing.

Requirements include CT registration by probation, PTCB or equivalent certification within 1 year of hire, and strong communication with healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree desirable.
• CT registration required by completion of probationary period.
• PTCB or equivalent certification required on or within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supports and maintains regular review of medication systems and restocks in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper medication movement through rotation of stock based on expiration and usage.
• Remove expired or soon-to-expire medications from inventory per guidelines.
• Receive medications from wholesale and replenish pharmacy stock accurately.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounding products per standards and policy.
