Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in prescription processing, preparation, and customer service within our hospital pharmacy. You will assist with data entry, inventory, and department maintenance to ensure safe and accurate medication delivery.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 6 months of pharmacy tech or healthcare experience, and current or eligible Pharmacy Technician licensure with BCB certification within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional training in medical office administration, pharmacy technician, or related fields preferred.
• 6 months pharmacy technician or healthcare experience required; military/academic training may count.
• Current registration/licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the relevant state or eligible; PTCB certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prescription processing and preparation, including data entry and dosage calculations.
• Customer service & communication with patients, providers, and staff; HIPAA compliance.
• Department maintenance and accurate inventory management; adherence to regulations.
