Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician for Van Wert Hospital in a part-time casual role. You will interpret, prepare/compound, label, and distribute pharmacy products for patients, considering age and information. Some shifts may include IV preparation and processing refill requests for non-monitored medications.

Under a Registered Pharmacist, you’ll contribute to medication distribution, process improvements, and staff training while adhering to SOPs and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Specialized knowledge in compounding, pharmacy math, and hospital operations.
• Active CPHT certification and Ohio Pharmacy licensure required.
• Experience with pharmacy procedures and medication safety.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist: perform tasks defined in policy or standard of therapy.
• Prepare/compound therapies and document activities; label products for final distribution.
• Participate in medication distribution: ordering, receiving, stocking, dispensing.
• Contribute to process improvement and training of new associates.
• Support safety, quality, and efficiency in daily duties as part of the HRO approach.
