Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to assist under a Staff Pharmacist, supporting medication preparation and distribution across patient care areas.

The role covers processing physician orders, operating robot-assisted workflows, and ensuring timely delivery of medications while adhering to policy, USP guidelines, and regulatory standards. Hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Competenze

• Current registration with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
• First attempt of certification exam to be completed within six months of hire.
• Certification must be obtained by the third attempt or at 12 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Operate Robot software to process medication batches and print pick lists.
• Maintain quality assurance per guidelines and USP 797 procedures.
• Ensure medications reach patients promptly and communicate with nursing and physicians.
• Handle controlled substances per NGMC policies and regulatory requirements.
• Label and prepare IV medications and verify accuracy before dispensing.
