Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Associate to support patient care in adult acute care settings across multiple locations, including Central Pharmacy and OR/CVC areas. You will assist pharmacists, prepare medications, and help ensure accurate dispensing and inventory management.

Requirements include Michigan licensure as a Pharmacy Technician (temporary license acceptable for up to 1 year), high school diploma, and strong English communication, computer and math skills.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in Michigan or eligible for temporary license.
• Able to perform a wide range of physical activity and lift up to required weights.
• Strong communication, reading, writing and math skills; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package non-sterile and sterile pharmaceuticals as needed.
• Assist pharmacists with dispensing, auditing, and inventory tasks.
• Deliver medications to nursing units and manage medication stock.
• Handle admissions medication histories and assist in resuscitation bays.
• Operate pharmacy automation, restock, and document activities.
• Respond to phone and electronic inquiries; support staff training.
