Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy department. Under the direction of a staff pharmacist, you will prepare unit dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, and stock orders while maintaining safe handling of medications.

The role includes training responsibilities, participation in departmental projects, and assignments across central pharmacy and specialized areas. Onsite at 81 Highland Avenue, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician License – Massachusetts required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all required pharmaceutical dosage calculations necessary to prepare extemporaneous dosage forms under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Adhere to safety requirements for handling medications in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• May prepare non-sterile and sterile preparations and manage controlled substances per regulatory standards.
• Responsible for assisting with training of Pharmacy Technician Trainees.
• Follow state and federal regulations and maintain drug handling and storage practices.
