Qualifications

• 1-3 years of hospital experience preferred.
• National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• Texas State Board Registration required (Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern).
• IV certification preferred.
• IV room experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs).
• Accurately performs and documents monthly medication storage area inspections.
• Performs required calculations.
• Compounds and labels medications and parenteral admixtures with aseptic techniques.
• Adheres to USP 795, 797, 800 requirements and PPE guidelines.
• Identifies issues, prioritizes workload and communicates promptly.
