Job summary

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform admission medication histories under pharmacist supervision. You will collect and document medication histories, allergies, and potential drug interactions for new patients.

Role requires 3 years of pharmacy tech experience or 2 years with national certification, and Tennessee licensure with PTCB med history certification within 1 year. PRN/variable hours, on-site hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years' experience as a Pharmacy Tech, or two years with national certification.
• State-approved PTCB Med History Certificate must be obtained within one year.
• Tennessee Board of Pharmacy licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs admission medication history for new patients with complete drug, dose, route, frequency, and indication details.
• Obtains allergy history and documents it fully.
• Ensures accuracy by verifying information from multiple sources.
