Jefferson Health Plans seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and dispensing under the supervision of pharmacists. The role ensures Pyxis replenishment, accurate inventory, and proper documentation of all drug handling and waste, across a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include preparing orders, assisting with IV preparations, and maintaining equipment and supplies for the clinical team.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2 years hospital pharmacy technician experience.
• 1 year sterile compounding experience.
• Strong knowledge of metric system conversions; passing score of 90% on calculation exam, aseptic preparation exam, safe handling of hazardous drugs and practicum.
• CPhT - Certified Pharmacy Technician - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Upon Hire.
• RPT - Registered Pharmacy Technician - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.

Mansioni

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff.
• Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist.
• Replenishes Pyxis machines and monitors refrigerator temperatures, documenting corrective actions.
• Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures.
• Dispenses medications and distributes to patient areas; restocks inventory and carts; checks for expired meds.
• Performs billing/crediting functions for medications and documents waste.
• Picks up physician orders and assists pharmacists as needed.
• Maintains clean work areas and housekeeping duties.
• Uses aseptic techniques to prepare IVs and transports them to nursing floors.
