Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Evening shift in a hospital pharmacy. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under supervision, ensuring accuracy and patient safety across stocking, IV admixture, and inventory tasks.

The role requires hospital experience, completion of required certifications, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Candidates must meet Georgia licensing requirements and work within a collaborative clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pharmacy tech certifications required upon hire.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred; knowledge of automated dispensing cabinets and Ga. Pharmacy law.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, compound, dispense medications under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Fill, label, and initial medication bags for pharmacist verification.
• Manage IV admixtures and aseptic technique per USP standards.
• Restock medications and assist with recalls and inventory control.
• Train and mentor pharmacy technicians as needed.
