Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team. You will prepare, compound, and dispense medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist, with emphasis on accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include operating the ADC, managing par levels, compounding IV admixtures, and assisting with inventory, labels, and customer service across units within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Familiarity with automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs).
• Knowledge of Ga. Pharmacy law is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Operate ADC system and manage par levels, including restocking and reporting discrepancies.
• Prepare IV admixtures using aseptic technique and ensure USP compliance.
• Repackage, label, and provide customer service to healthcare professionals and patients.
• Support inventory tasks, charges processing, and monthly inspections.
