Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Under supervision of a Pharmacist, you will prepare, compound, dispense medications, and perform technical duties across the department, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

You will handle IV admixtures, medication distribution, ADC responsibilities, and miscellaneous tasks while complying with USP standards and Georgia Board of Pharmacy rules. Hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED General is required.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• General experience in all phases of pharmacy operations including basic knowledge of automated dispensing cabinets, inventory management, medication order interpretation, and Ga. Pharmacy law.

Responsibilities

• Medication Distribution: prepare medications and IVs, label and initial for pharmacist verification.
• ADC: manage users, load medications, generate reports, restock, recall, and manage controlled substances.
• IV Admixture: aseptic technique, prepare various admixtures, maintain clean room and comply with USP standards.
• Miscellaneous: repackaging, customer service, process charges, ordering supplies, inventory accountability, inspections, and training.
• Complies with Wellstar Health System policies and code of conduct.

Education

PHT - Registered Pharmacy Tech

CPHT - Cert Pharmacy Tech or PHARMINT - Pharmacist - Intern

Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy
