Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II PRN to support pharmacists in daily medication preparation, dispensing, and patient education. Under pharmacist supervision, you will fill orders, deliver to nursing units, and help with IV, chemo, and TPN workflows.

You will participate in inventory control, cross-training, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies, while delivering high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical services to our patients.

Qualifications

• PharmTech Pharmacy Technician License.
• IV Cert.
• No Travel Required.
• No experience Required Years of Experience

Responsibilities

• Proactively works toward goals set in the previous evaluation period and communicates with manager.
• Makes delivery and pickup rounds to nursing units as required.
• Fills medication orders for checking by a pharmacist and delivers to nursing unit after R.Ph. Checking.
• Processes discharges and transfers (Cart fill, pickup and credit discharge meds IV: Techs).
• Processes IVs, Chemo’s, and TPNs; reconciles IVs, Chemo’s, and TPNs.
• Restocks work area and sets daily medication carts for RPh checking.
