Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West seeks a Pharmacist Intern or Certified Pharmacy Technician to support drug therapy delivery under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will fill orders, prepare IV therapies, assist in unit rounds, and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include IVs/Chemo/TPN processing, inventory control, and assisting in staff training. This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork and patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Pharmacist - Intern or CPhT or PharmTech license.
• IV Therapy or BCSCP certification.
• No travel required.
• 1 year of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides drug therapy and education under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Makes delivery and pickup rounds to nursing units.
• Fills medication orders for pharmacist checking and delivers to units.
• Processes discharges, transfers, IVs, Chemo, and TPNs; reconciles IV/Chemo/TPN.
• Maintains inventory, coordinates with purchasing for stock.
• Assists in cross-training and orientation of new employees.
