Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall's Pharmacy Department is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support medication preparation, delivery to nursing units, and inventory control. The role requires strong attention to accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
1 year pharmacy tech experience strongly preferred.
Hospital experience is a plus.
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required.
IV Certification is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in written and verbal English, computer skills, and basic math including conversions and ratios.

Responsibilities

Timely and accurate preparation and delivery of medications to nursing units and departments.
Maintain accuracy and required competencies, reflecting quality improvement and patient safety standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development and growth; manage time effectively.
Communicate effectively, build positive relationships, and model teamwork.
Train new employees on routine tasks under supervision.
Help minimize pharmaceutical costs and identify process efficiencies.
