Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia seeks a Pharmacy Technician to prepare, compound, and dispense medications under supervision of a Pharmacist. You will perform distribution duties, IV admixture, and use Automated Dispensing Cabinet systems while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED and GA pharmacy tech licenses. Minimum experience is 1 year; strong communication and teamwork are essential to support patient care across our healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills and good communication for patient interactions.
• Experience in pharmacy operations and ability to work under supervision.
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs and push ~100 lb carts.
• Licensed pharmacy technician credentials required by hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and assist in medication distribution under supervision.
• Operate ADC system tasks: load meds, run reports, address discrepancies.
• Perform IV admixture prep and maintain aseptic technique.
• Repackaging, bar-coding, customer service, and routine inventory duties.
• Assist with monthly inspections and ensure compliance with safety policies.
