Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• PharmD preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Experience supervising Pharmacy Technicians is required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for daily pharmacy operations.
• Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians and staff.
• Ensure medications are prepared, dispensed, and distributed safely.
• Maintain compliance with professional, regulatory, organizational, and governmental standards.
• Oversee medication purchasing, inventory management, and availability.
• Support safe management of controlled substances.
• Monitor workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and patient service.
• Develop and evaluate departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality-improvement and pharmacy-safety initiatives.
• Support pharmacy information and dispensing systems.
• Provide staff coaching, training, feedback, and professional development.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in orientation, continuing education, and competency programs.
• Assist with operational reporting and identify areas for improvement.
