Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to supervise daily hospital pharmacy operations in San Carlos, AZ. This contract role requires strong leadership to guide technicians and ensure high clinical standards.

Local candidates may have potential to convert to a full-time position if the fit is right, with supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school.
• PharmD preferred.
• PGY1 / one-year pharmacy residency preferred.
• Hospital pharmacy experience required.
• Previous experience supervising Pharmacy Technicians required.
• Strong pharmacy operations and leadership experience.
• BLS required or must be obtained within onboarding period.
• Background and drug screening required.
• No disciplinary issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for daily pharmacy operations.
• Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacy staff.
• Ensure medications are prepared, dispensed, and distributed accurately and safely.
• Maintain compliance with professional, regulatory, organizational, and governmental pharmacy standards.
• Oversee medication purchasing, inventory management, and pharmaceutical availability.
• Support safe and compliant management of controlled substances.
• Monitor pharmacy workflow and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and patient service.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality-improvement and pharmacy-safety initiatives.
• Support pharmacy information and medication-dispensing systems.
• Provide staff coaching, training, feedback, and professional development.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in orientation, continuing education, and competency programs.
• Assist with operational reporting and identify areas requiring improvement or corrective action.
