Job summary

Renown Health in Reno, NV is seeking a Managing Pharmacist in Charge to oversee daily operations of the hospital outpatient pharmacy. You will supervise pharmacists, technicians, and students, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely dispensing of medications.

The role requires Nevada Pharmacist licensure, Pharm.D. preferred, and at least two years of managerial experience in a retail or hospital setting. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy; Pharm.D. preferred.
• Two years of managerial experience in a retail pharmacy preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Pharmacist license; board certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical duties for pharmacy operations in compliance with laws and standards.
• Train and supervise pharmacists, technicians, interns, and staff; oversee workload and scheduling.
• Monitor drug therapy and formulary policies; initiate recommendations to physicians.
• Lead staff meetings and participate in committee activities; manage budget input.
• Ensure quality improvement initiatives and regulatory training are completed.
