Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking an intern pharmacist to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience with unit-dose packaging, medication delivery, and hospital formulary processes.

You will work with Epic RX and assist in IV preparation and narcotics controls, while maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Good communication skill.
• Enrolled in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Registered with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as an Intern (within the first month of starting school).

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, prepares and distributes medications according to a prescription or physician order.
• Unit Dose: packaging, filling, distributing medications and stocking shelves.
• Delivery: transportation of medications and supplies to areas outside the pharmacy, including cart delivery and floor stock to various units.
• Operate pharmacy computer systems (Epic RX message system), verify orders with a pharmacist, and ensure USP 797 compliance.
