Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs is seeking a Part-time Pharmacy Intern for evening and weekend shifts at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. The role supports the Pharmacy department under pharmacist supervision, assisting with sterile compounding, medication preparation, and unit-dose workflows.

Responsibilities include assisting with medication requests, maintaining accuracy in processes, and supporting safe dispensing within established procedures.

Qualifications

Admittance to a nationally recognized School of Pharmacy Program.
Registered Pharmacy Intern (RPHI) required.
Basic chemistry and arithmetic knowledge.
Ability to follow written procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competency with established pharmacy procedures.
Transfer of medication issues communicated between pharmacy team.
Pass Low Risk Level Competency and annual Media Fill.
Oversee Unit Dose area and ADM; ensure timely product flow.
Extemporaneous compounding per recipes; narcotic paperwork.
Respond to clinical questions under pharmacist oversight.
Maintain patient safety and follow safety policies.
