Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to join the team at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. You will support sterile compounding, medication preparation, inventory management and distribution under pharmacist supervision.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a College of Pharmacy, with interest in hospital pharmacy, strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a nationally recognized College of Pharmacy.
• Interest in hospital pharmacy and patient care environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist sterile compounding and IV admixture preparation under supervision.
• Manage unit dose area, ADCs, and basic pharmacy equipment.
• Support medication distribution, labeling and inventory control.
• Contribute to medication reconciliation and patient safety tasks.
• Engage in training and orientation of new staff as needed.
