Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Fremont, NE is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a casual, as-needed role within the hospital pharmacy. The position involves day hours with rotating evenings and every 5th weekend, under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include triaging medication requests, aseptic compounding, packaging and labeling, operating Omnicell and Cerner systems, and maintaining accurate records. Prior hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to triage medication requests and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Triages medication requests and notifies pharmacist.
• Manufactures, packages, and labels drug products.
• Performs aseptic compounding of parenteral admixtures and other sterile dosage forms.
• Uses drug dispensing and compounding automation and Cerner system for medication orders.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and proper documentation.
• Participates in training and orientation of new staff.
