Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Fremont, NE is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a casual, as-needed role. You will assist the pharmacy team under pharmacist supervision, triage medication requests, and help prepare and dispense medications in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include aseptic compounding, operating Omnicell, maintaining records, and supporting training. Day shifts with rotating evenings and every 5th weekend, with opportunities to grow within a values-driven health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the appropriate state is required at start of employment.
• Some hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage medication requests and prioritize orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in medication dispensing, compounding, and labeling.
• Prepare parenteral admixtures with aseptic technique.
• Operate pharmacy equipment (Omnicell, carousel, UD packager) and maintain records.
• Help train new pharmacy staff and maintain patient confidentiality.
