Responsibilities include patient counseling support, data entry, and ensuring accuracy of medication orders while gaining hands-on experience in a top-tier academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in a full-time accredited pharmacy school program.
• Knowledge of drug trade and generic names; ability to perform pharmacy calculations.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
• Strong organization/time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, prepare, dispense and distribute medications and provide clinical monitoring.
• Assist with Pyxis dispensing and barcoding of medications.
• Maintain accurate controlled substances inventory using Pyxis CII system.
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications with pharmacist verification.
• Participate in chemotherapy preparation practices with closed system transfer devices.
