Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE seeks a Director of Pharmacy to oversee the hospital pharmacy's clinical, operational and financial functions. The role requires leading antimicrobial stewardship, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding patient-focused drug therapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: state licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing and financial management of the hospital pharmacy.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS and other regulatory bodies.
• Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and multidisciplinary rounding initiatives.
• Develop and implement employee training and education programs.
• Participate in drug utilization review, patient drug therapy monitoring and quality improvement efforts.
• Counsel patients and families on medication therapy.
