Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Automation Technician to oversee day-to-day operations and monitoring of the hospital’s automated medication dispensing systems. You will manage ADM inventory, ensure accuracy, train staff, and maintain records while complying with regulatory standards.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to improve safety and efficiency in a busy hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician training program.
• Registered with the state of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician.
• National Certification (PTCB) required.
• Two years of Hospital or other relevant experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the inventory of the ADM systems house-wide.
• Establish and monitor daily reports to assess efficiency of ADM inventory and stocking.
• Develops, assesses, and reports on quality assurance and performance improvement activities relating to medication dispensing via the automated dispensing machines and inventory management.
• Follows regulatory standards and policies regarding the dispensing, security, storage, and labeling of medications.
• Provides orientation/training on ADM use to new employees; provides updated information regarding changes in policies/procedures.
• Maintains necessary record-keeping and training documentation pertinent to areas of responsibility.
• Promotes sense of team effort together with pharmacists and technicians.
• Assists with other technician roles as scheduled or as needed.
