Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join a hospital pharmacy managed by Cardinal Health in Enola, PA. The role supports pharmaceutical care services including oversight, dispensing, documentation and drug information, with hours Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• 3+ years related pharmacy experience.
• Licensed to practice in the state of opening or eligible to reciprocate.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on call and various shifts.
• Computer-savvy to use multiple pharmacy information systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate with on-call rotation and be reachable within 90 minutes when on-call.
• Interpret and transcribe orders to computerized patient medication profiles accurately.
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
• Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law.
• Monitor drug therapy regimens for interactions and dosing appropriateness.
• Assist with pharmacokinetics consult service and drug dosing per protocol.
• Review culture and susceptibility data for antibiotic appropriateness and changes as needed.
• Document all clinical activities and maintain logs and records.
• Participate in quality improvement and medication use reviews.
