Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Pharmacist to optimize patient care through safe dispensing, drug information, and clinical interventions. The role includes supervising technicians and students, managing inventory, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD or PharmD-equivalent license valid in PA/NY or eligible within 120 days, with hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) and licensed or eligible for licensure in PA and/or NY within 120 days.
• Preferred hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions with prospective drug review, ensure safe and accurate dispensing.
• Provide drug information and intervene in drug therapy in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assist in department management by supervising staff and overseeing inventory and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment and support computer/IT systems as needed.
• Support safety and quality initiatives and participate in compliance efforts.
• Night Pharmacist duties may include triaging, coordinating nightly activities, and resolving IT/automation issues.
