The pharmacist will monitor regimens, provide drug information, and ensure accurate transcription and documentation of orders. Responsibilities include compounding and dispensing medications, including sterile and IV preparations, and participating in after-hours call rotation with adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or PharmD.
• One to two years of health-system experience preferred, but not required.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Kansas in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certification required at hire or within one year; PALS optional.

Responsibilities

• Monitors medication therapy regimens for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
• Provides accurate drug information to staff and patients.
• Interprets verbal and written orders and maintains patient medication profiles.
• Prepares and dispenses medications, including sterile and IV preparations.
• Supervises pharmacy staff and verifies daily activities of technicians.
• Rotates into after-hours call schedule and supports emergency dispensing.
