Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico in Las Cruces, NM seeks a Pharmacist for a full-time role. The Pharmacist will consult with nursing and medical staff on prescriptions, monitor therapies, and participate in drug utilization reviews, while aligning with the hospital’s mission and patient-care standards.

The position requires an active pharmacist license, hospital experience is preferred, and supervisory responsibilities may be involved.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Pharmacist is required.
• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints.
• Performs drug utilization reviews and prepares review criteria for staff approval.
• Monitors drug therapies and suggests alternatives as appropriate.
• Discusses financial risk management related to prescribing with physicians and groups.
