Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Dickson City is seeking a Part-Time Patient Transporter to move patients to and from units using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds, including patients with oxygen tanks and IV pumps. The role requires a Day Shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule every other weekend and holiday coverage, with uniforms provided.

You will support patient throughput, coordinate with clinical teams, maintain equipment, and participate in required trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification within 180 days.
• Strong customer service and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely and timely by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Coordinates transport activities with clinical staff and unit staff.
• Handles and stocks transport equipment and oxygen cylinders.
• Documents assignments and uses transport software for throughput.
• Attends in-service trainings and staff meetings.
