Job summary

Heritage Oaks Hospital in Sacramento is seeking a Patient Driver to join the Transportation Team to transport patients to and from the facility with continuous observation and safety. You will communicate patient care issues to the Transportation Supervisor and assist as needed, including serving meals to patients.

The role requires a High school diploma, a valid Class A or B license with passenger endorsement, medical exam, CPR certification, and a good driving record.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement.
• Current medical examination required.
• CPR certification required.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment.
• Must be 21 years or older and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Get lunch from the cafeteria and provide to patients, as assigned.
• Communication of patient care issues to Transportation Supervisor.
