Job summary

Heritage Oaks Hospital is seeking a Patient Driver to join our Transportation Team in northern Sacramento. This role transports patients to and from the facility, providing continuous observation and role modeling to support patient safety and recovery.

Responsibilities include safe patient transport, assisting with meals when needed, and reporting patient care concerns to the Transportation Supervisor. Competitive benefits and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement and current medical examination.
• CPR certification required; Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Get lunch from the cafeteria and provide to patients, as assigned.
• Communication of patient care issues to Transportation Supervisor.
