Job summary

Heritage Oaks Hospital, part of the UHS Family of Providers, has served the Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 1988. Located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering tailored treatment for adolescents, adults and seniors, including substance use treatment.

We are currently looking for a Patient Driver to join our Transportation Team, providing patient transport with continuous observation and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Must be 21+ with clean driving record; CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility safely.
• Deliver meals from cafeteria to patients as assigned.
• Communicate patient care issues to Transportation Supervisor.

Heritage Oaks Hospital is currently looking for a Patient Driver to join our Transportation Team! This position provides transportation of patients to and from the facility providing continuous observation, interaction, and role modeling to the patients while maintaining safety at all times.

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Get lunch from the cafeteria and provide to patients, as assigned.
• Communication of patient care issues to Transportation Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Licensure: Valid Class A or B driver’s license, passenger endorsement and current medical examination required.

Additional Requirements: Must be 21 years or older and have and maintain a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles. CPR certification required. Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
